Jabari received a B.A. in Psychology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia; a M.A. in Counseling & Student Personnel Psychology from University of Minnesota; and his J.D. from University of St. Thomas School of Law.
Jabari was a law clerk to the Honorable Toddrick S. Barnette in the Fourth Judicial District of Minnesota from 2014 - 2016. He was a clerk for the First Judicial District of Minnesota Office of Public Defender from 2012 - 2014. Prior to law school, he worked with the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Alteratives Initiative as a Coordinator at Model Cities of St. Paul, Inc. (2009 - 2011) and an Intermittent Youth Residential Counselor at Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center (2006 - 2012). He was an Academic Advisor at University of Minnesota from 2002 - 2009.
Jabari is currently a board member at Family Values for Life and he volunteers at the Youth Mentoring Project in St. Paul. He loves spending time with his son, Barak, and traveling abroad. He enjoys being active, whether it is playing basketball, swimming, or tennis. Jabari was born and raised in St. Paul. He attended St. Paul Academy & Summit School and Cretin-Derham Hall. He played college basketball, but hockey was his first sport.
